Handguns would be allowed in the state Capitol under a bill passed Tuesday by the House Judiciary Committee.
Author David Derby, R-Owasso, said House Bill 2672 would allow "law-abiding citizens" to "express their Second Amendment rights" by carrying properly licensed guns with them in the Capitol.
Asked if that meant guns could be carried onto the House floor, Derby said, "If the House rules allow it.
