The former president of OKC Pride was charged Tuesday with felony embezzlement, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the nonprofit that supports the LGBT community.

Lori Kay Honeycutt, 45, of Oklahoma City, became president of OKC Pride in February.

One person was killed early Wednesday in a crash involving a bus in McClain County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 1 a.m., Interstate 35 was shut down near Purcell, the patrol reported.

The patrol reported a passenger bus was involved in the fatality accident.

All lanes of Interstate 35 reopened by 8 a.m., OHP reported.

A Texas day-care owner is accused of medicating small children, strapping them to car seats using ligatures tied around their necks and keeping them in a dark closet in her home, authorities said.


Authorities said Rebecca Anderson admitted that she gave the children Tylenol “to make them stop crying and to make her job easier,” then kept them confined for up to seven hours each day, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Muskogee man dies in rollover crash

A Muskogee man died Wednesday morning after his pickup rolled, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Jarrard Clentis, 79, died en route to a hospital, troopers said.

About 9:55 a.m., Clentis was driving west on U.S. 62, about 5 1/2 miles east of Fort Gibson in Muskogee County, when his pickup left the road, struck a culvert and rolled, according to a patrol report.

Clentis was not wearing a seat belt.

OKC workers injured in Wednesday bee swarm

Oklahoma City workers were caught off guard Wednesday morning as thousands of bees began swarming them while they were picking up brush and trees.

Just before 11 a.m., debris removal crews were working near SE 23 and Walnut Avenue when they used a grappling arm to pick up a large, hollowed-out tree and set it in the back of a dump truck.

One of the workers was stung about 15 times and the other just a couple as they both ran to the safety of the truck’s cab, said Capt.
